Breast forms after mastectomy or lumpectomy
A breast form, also called a breast prosthesis, gives back the shape and balance of your bust after breast surgery, and sits in the pocket of a mastectomy bra or swimsuit.
Our range brings together Boost and Amoena, plus swim forms from Trulife and ABC, so you can find a form for every day, for the pool and for after a lumpectomy.
Boost breast forms, exclusive to Colleen's
Boost comes in 2 ranges, Shape and Curve, and you can choose either for everyday wear or for swimming.
Find the right form
- Everyday silicone breast forms from Amoena's Natura, Contact and Energy ranges, plus lighter options such as Natura Xtra Light and Adapt Air.
- Swimming breast forms made for the pool and the sea, including Amoena Aqua Wave, Trulife Activeflow and the ABC Active Swim Form.
- Partial breast forms and balance shapers from Amoena's Balance range, for after a lumpectomy, breast-conserving surgery or reconstruction, or for naturally uneven breasts.
The Medicare reimbursement program
If you've had breast surgery because of cancer and you're enrolled in Medicare, the External Breast Prostheses Reimbursement Program can reimburse up to $400 for each breast form, or up to $800 after a double mastectomy.
It covers mastectomies, partial mastectomies and lumpectomies, includes swim forms, and allows 1 claim every 2 years. Read more on our Medicare page.
Choosing your form with a fitter
The right form depends on your surgery, your shape and how you like to feel day to day, and a fitting makes the choice simple.
Our fitters are trained in fitting women during and after breast cancer, in Garran, Canberra, and at Bra Fitting Wisdom in Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills. Book a fitting, or shop online with free postage on orders over $150, plus Afterpay and PayPal.
Pair your form with a mastectomy bra or mastectomy swimwear, both made with pockets to hold it.
When can I start wearing a breast form?
Your surgeon or breast care nurse will let you know when you're ready, and our fitters can help you choose your first form.
What's the difference between a breast form and a partial form?
A full breast form gives the whole breast shape after a mastectomy. A partial form, or balance shaper, adds shape where some breast tissue has been removed, or evens out a natural difference between breasts.
